Love must be the best life has to offer for most of us are miserable without it. |

Grow old along with me! |
The best is yet to be, |
The last of life, for which the first was made. |
our times are in his hand. |

Love Defined |
|
Love is friendship that has caught fire. |
It is quite understanding, mutual confidence, |
sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good times and the bad. It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses. |
|
Love is content with the present , it hopes for the future and it doesn't brood over the past. It's the day-in day-out chronicle of irritations, problems, compromises, small disappointments, big victories and common goals. |
|
If you have love in your life, it can make up for a great many things you lack. If you don't have it, no matter what else there is, it's not enough. |

LOVE |
|
"If I speak in the tongues of men and angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, it is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies they shall fail; whether there be tongues they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: know even as also I am known. And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity." |

Quotes |
|
You are only young once, but sometimes it can last a lifetime. |
|
Hope for the best; prepare for the worst; and take what comes with a smile. |
|
If I could retain more of what I read and less of what I eat, I'd be in great shape! Nobody ever has to go on a diet to get rid of excess knowledge. |
|
People who gossip usually end up in their own mouth trap. |
|
FRIENDS MAKE STRONG THE FABRIC OF OUR LIVES. |
|
Take time to deliberate; but when the time for action arrives, stop thinking and go. |

Any Moment |
|
Any moment of hating, any moment of lying, any moment of resentment, |
Is a moment of dying. |
Any moment of loving, any moment of giving, any moment of thankfulness, |
Is a moment of living; |
All our moments add together, like the didgits in a sum, |
And the answer tells us plainly, |
Whether life or death shall come. |

Balanced Love checklist for Parents: |
|
If you haven't shown some real affection for your children today, the day was wasted. |
|
Have you apologized for disciplining your children when you were in a bad mood, and not because they needed it. |
Hearts were hurt. |
|
When was the last time you took your kids for a bike ride, flew a kite or just put a puzzle together? If it's been longer than two weeks, prepare for future communication problems. |
|
Do you work all hours, then bring gifts? Remember, your presents don't mean nearly as much as your presence. |
|
Have you recently given your children a day of freedom to do as they please? They need the chance to clear their heads and pursue personal intrests. Privacy is as important to them as it is to you. |
|
Do you prejudge your children on the assumption that all children are delinquents? Treat them as honorable, trustworthy individuals and see what a difference it will make. Children tend to become what you expect them to be. |
|
If you give your children love, time, privacy, understanding and discipline, the lines of communication will always be open. |
|
This was written by a grade nine class to their parents, shall we say from the mouths of babes. Listen to the children they are the future, make it a loving future. |

Be understanding to your enemies. |
Be loyal to your friends. |
Be strong enough to face the world each day. |
Be weak enough to know you cannot do everything alone. |
Be generous to those who need your help. |
Be frugal with what you need yourself. |
Be wise enough to know that you do not know everything. |
Be foolish enough to believe in miracles. |
Be willing to share your joys. |
Be willing to share the sorrows of others. |
Be a leader when you see a path others have missed. |
Be a follower when you are shrouded by the mists of uncertainty. |
Be the first to congratulate an opponent who succeeds. |
Be the last to criticize a colleague who fails. |
Be sure where your next step will fall, so you will not stumble. |
Be sure of your final destination , in case you are going the wrong way. |
ABOVE ALL, BE YOURSELF! |
I am unsure who wrote this poem but they have a point! |
